To germinate vegetable seeds effectively, soak seeds in clean water or lukewarm water (30-40°C) for 4-6 hours depending on the crop. Wrap with a damp cloth in a shaded area until germination starts, then sow into seedling trays with quality peat moss substrate, maintaining consistent moisture.

Plow and solarize the soil 20-30 cm deep for 7-10 days to eliminate pathogens and pests. Adjust soil pH to 6.0-6.8 with agricultural lime or dolomite if acidic. Incorporate well-decomposed manure or compost (1-2 tons/rai) and mix with balanced basal fertilizer such as 15-15-15.

1. Seedling stage: Water daily and apply high-nitrogen fertilizer (e.g. 25-7-7 or 46-0-0) to promote root and foliage. 2. Vegetative to pre-flowering: Apply balanced 15-15-15. 3. Fruit development & harvest: Apply high-potassium fertilizer (13-13-21 or 0-0-60) to enhance yield size, sweetness, and market quality.
